For Anne Frank Museum, I had the opportunity to create this animation. The animation is a visual journey through observations, dreams, and thoughts as described by Anne in her diary. The fragments weave together into a series of comforting, hopeful, and consoling scenes. Let yourself be carried away and experience how text can stimulate the imagination.
Exhibition 'Pennekinderen'
12 June, 2024 — Today marks exactly 95 years since Anne Frank was born, on June 12, 1929. In honor of this, the Anne Frank Foundation and Rubinstein Publishers are releasing a special illustrated edition of Anne Frank’s stories: Pennekinderen. Stories and events from the Secret Annex. This edition is accompanied by a new temporary exhibition at the Anne Frank House.
Illustrations
The short stories of Anne Frank in Pennekinderen. Stories and events from the Secret Annex have been illustrated by 46 illustrators from around the world. Their illustrations are on display in the temporary exhibition, along with an animation by Marieke van der Burg.
